This customer was already enjoying the merits of Solar Thermal integration on their domestic hot water and was now looking to make their property even more economical with the addition of Solar PV. Their electrical consumption was minimal, but they were keen to ensure that they made the most of the south-facing generation by complementing our Solar installation with 9.6kW of battery storage. During the winter months, we have configured the client's battery storage system to ‘force charge’ when low-cost grid tariffs are available. The combination of generation and force charging allows our client to run their house even in the depths of winter without purchasing barely any standard tariff electricity.
