This client was re-roofing a barn and felt this availed the perfect opportunity to consider installing PV Solar to aid with commercial and environmental electrical efficiency within their farming business. We had minimal relevant billing data, so the first action was to fit one of our PEL Power Analysers to record the electricity usage profile.
The recorded data was vital; it aided our understanding of our client consumption profile, ensuring our Solar PV proposal would provide excellent efficiency and result in a good ROI (return on investment). Following our research and client liaison, the preferred design was agreed upon.
We would install 48no. Solar panels on each of the east and west elevations of the newly re-roofed barn. This design and 20kW of battery storage would complement other PV Solar installations around the client's numerous buildings.
